MILAN, April 13, 2026 — Miele unveiled its “Designed to Move with You” concept at Milan Design Week 2026, presenting a vision of the kitchen as a flexible, connected living space that adapts to users’ evolving needs.
The concept spans both the brand’s exhibition at EuroCucina and the newly redesigned Miele Experience Center in Milan’s Brera Design District, where the company showcased how appliances, architecture and digital tools can integrate into a cohesive ecosystem.
Miele said the approach reflects a shift toward kitchens that are not only functional but also responsive and emotionally intelligent, aligning with modern living patterns.
“The kitchen becomes a dynamic and intelligent ecosystem,” the company said, describing a space designed to move in sync with everyday life.
Concept centers on connected, adaptive cooking
At EuroCucina, Miele demonstrated how interconnected appliances can simplify cooking while enhancing precision. Among the highlights were the KM 8000 induction hobs paired with M Sense cookware, which use multiple temperature sensors to automatically regulate heat and prevent burning or boil-overs.
The company also introduced a compact steam drawer designed to integrate with a 45 cm oven and microwave combination, forming a space-saving 3-in-1 solution for baking, reheating and steam cooking. The product is scheduled for release in March 2027.
New extractor hoods and compact appliance formats were also presented, emphasizing both design refinement and adaptability in smaller kitchen layouts.
A key digital component is CulinaryCoach, an AI-powered assistant that provides tailored cooking recommendations, answers preparation questions and automatically transfers settings to connected appliances.
Focus on compact and urban living
The concept extends beyond product innovation into spatial design. At the Miele Experience Center, the company showcased real-life scenarios illustrating how kitchens can blend seamlessly into broader living environments.
A central feature is “Miele Compact Living: Kitchen Unit powered by Hettich,” a design study aimed at maximizing functionality in small urban spaces. The concept combines appliances with adaptable furniture systems to meet growing demand for efficient, high-performance solutions in compact homes.
