Lowe’s will start four weeks of Black Friday deals on Oct. 29, putting major appliances into holiday promotion nearly a month before Black Friday itself.
The retailer’s official holiday announcement says the Oct. 29 promotions will span appliances, tools, holiday décor and outdoor power equipment.
Promotions Run Through December
Lowe’s plans a 12 Days of Deals promotion beginning Nov. 16, its biggest Black Friday savings during Thanksgiving week and additional December Deal Drops through Christmas Eve. Rewards members will also receive early online access to selected doorbusters.
Appliance Shopping Season Starts Earlier
The schedule pushes replacement-shopping decisions into late October. For appliance retailers and repair companies, that can alter the repair-versus-replace calculation when a refrigerator, range, washer or dryer fails just as promotional pricing begins.
The announcement does not establish that every appliance will be cheapest on Oct. 29. Lowe’s says its largest Black Friday savings will arrive during Thanksgiving week, so shoppers comparing a nonurgent replacement still have reason to track prices across the promotion.
