The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall affects approximately 433 units sold in the United States, along with an additional 70 units distributed in Canada. The affected products are part of the company’s professional-grade RGV3 series, sold between June 2025 and March 2026.
According to the agency, the ovens in the recalled ranges can experience delayed ignition, allowing gas to accumulate before igniting. This buildup can cause the oven door to open forcefully, posing a burn risk to consumers.

The appliances were sold through appliance retailers including Factory Builder Stores and Albert Lee Inc., with retail prices ranging from $6,200 to $14,000, positioning them in the premium professional segment.

Fisher & Paykel has received 18 reports of delayed ignition incidents, including one case involving a minor burn injury. No major injuries or fatalities have been reported to date.
